Harvest Thanksgiving 2026

Grace to Greater Grace

“For from His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

John 1:16

Dear Beloved Congregation,

Every harvest is more than a season of celebration—it is a reminder of God’s faithfulness, provision, guidance, and unfailing grace.

As we look back on the journey of our church, we can clearly see the hand of God in many things that once appeared difficult or seemed beyond our immediate reach. Through His grace and the collective efforts of the Bishop’s Commission, several long-standing matters and important works have moved forward.

By God’s Grace – We Have Come This Far

Among the significant milestones are:

  • Completion of the Parish Hall, providing a valuable facility for worship, fellowship, marriages, engagements, youth activities, Sunday School and other church programmes.
  • Painting and improvement of the Church, helping restore the dignity and beauty of our historic place of worship.
  • Restoration and improvement of the Church Garden, creating a better environment for our congregation.
  • Renovation and restoration of the Assistant Presbyter’s Parsonage, making it ready for occupation and ministry.
  • Unfreezing of the Punjab National Bank account, which had remained frozen for approximately 14 years, involving funds of around ₹18 lakhs. This has been an important step in restoring the financial administration of the Church.
  • Strengthening financial accountability and transparency, with the accounts and financial information being regularly brought before the congregation and important financial details being displayed on the Church Notice Board, so that members may remain informed about the financial affairs and stewardship of the Church.

These are not merely accomplishments or administrative achievements. They are testimonies of God’s grace and faithfulness.

What we could not accomplish in our own strength, God enabled us to accomplish in His time. What appeared delayed was never forgotten by Him. Through prayer, perseverance, responsible stewardship and the cooperation of our congregation, the Lord has brought us this far.

From Grace to Greater Grace

As we give thanks for what God has already done, we must also look forward with faith to what He is yet to do.

The restoration of our Church is not only about buildings, facilities or finances. It is about building a stronger spiritual and institutional foundation for the generations to come.

Our prayer and vision should be that Garrison Wesley Church will continue to grow from grace to greater grace, becoming a place of worship, fellowship, service and witness for our children, youth, families and future generations.

Therefore, this Harvest Thanksgiving is an opportunity for every member to pause, reflect and recognize what God has enabled us to achieve together.
